Chapter 19 - Solar
Install solar PV panels at your property. You’ll need to find out if you require any form of planning permission before going ahead, and what the best way to go about it is. If you’re in the UK, you can visit energysavingtrust.org.uk/advice/solar-panels/ which also has a solar energy calculator where you can get a better idea of the benefits you may see from installing a solar PV system. If you’re not in the UK, simply use a search engine like Ecosia, to search how to install solar PVs in your area.
Check out ‘DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse’ on YouTube. He has a bunch of beginner friendly videos about solar power, from videos on how to build your first solar power system, to how to size up your solar power system.
